The Bihar government has started the Chief Minister Kanya Utthaan Yojana (MKUY) as a major initiative to stop child marriage. Under this scheme, the state government will provide 5,000 rupees on the birth of a girl, 10,000 after completion of the Inter School Examination (unmarried) and 25,000 passing the bachelor’s degree. This ambitious welfare scheme will benefit about 16 million girls per year.

This scheme is applicable to 2 girls of a family. The Bihar Government has officially implemented the scheme from April 2018. The state government currently spends Rs 840 crore per year on education of girls. In this scheme, the government will spend additional Rs.1400 crores annually and thus the total amount will now be Rs.2240 crores rupees per year. This is a universal plan available to all girls (who are native of Bihar state) without any discrimination on the basis of caste, religion, and income.

बिहार सरकार ने बाल विवाह को रोकने के लिए एक बड़ी पहल के रूप में मुख्यमंत्री कन्या उत्थान योजना (MKUY) शुरू की है। इस योजना के तहत, राज्य सरकार एक लड़की के जन्म पर 5,000 रुपये, 10,000 इंटर की परीक्षा (अविवाहित) और 25,000 स्नातक की डिग्री पास करने के बाद प्रदान करेगी। इस महत्वाकांक्षी कल्याणकारी योजना से प्रति वर्ष लगभग 16 मिलियन लड़कियों को लाभ मिलेगा।

यह योजना एक परिवार की 2 लड़कियों पर लागू है। बिहार सरकार ने अप्रैल 2018 से आधिकारिक रूप से इस योजना को लागू किया है। वर्तमान में राज्य सरकार लड़कियों की शिक्षा पर प्रति वर्ष 840 करोड़ रुपये खर्च करती है। इस योजना में, सरकार प्रतिवर्ष अतिरिक्त रु .400 करोड़ खर्च करेगी और इस प्रकार अब कुल राशि रु .240 करोड़ प्रति वर्ष होगी। यह जाति, धर्म और आय के आधार पर बिना किसी भेदभाव के सभी लड़कियों (जो बिहार राज्य के मूल निवासी हैं) के लिए उपलब्ध एक सार्वभौमिक योजना है।

In this financial year 2019, every girl passing a bachelor’s degree will be eligible to get the assistance of Rs 25,000 under the Chief Minister’s Kanya Utthaan Yojana in Bihar. This amount will be given once in the form of payment to every girl graduated from the state colleges on or after April 25 this year. Incentives will be paid in spite of close division, marital status, caste, community or religion.

Eligibility/Who can Apply Form Of MKUY

• Girl Must be Citizen of Bihar.
• Girls Must belong from Poor Family
• Member of Candidate/girl Should not be in Government Job.
• If Applicant/girl wants to take 10000 then she Must have intermediate/12th Mark sheet.
• If Applicant/girl wants to take 25000 then she Must have Graduation from any Stream Mark sheet.
